Celebration of Life for Tony Swain

Longtime Member Tony Swain passed away peacefully on April 3rd at the age of 90. Tony was a huge asset to general aviation in B.C. being heavily involved with the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), Western Warbirds, Delta Heritage Airpark, and the B.C. Aviation Council. Accompanied by his wife Mary, he flew Harvard CF-UFZ, affectionately known as ‘Bessy’ to many aviation events for decades. Having flown RCAF Harvards while in Canada as a Royal Air Force student pilot in the 1950s, his passion for flying then never wavered. Our condolences to Tony’s famil, and the entire B.C. aviation community. Blues skies and tailwinds! A Celebration of Life will be held for Tony at The Billy on Friday June 6th, beginning at 1:00 P.M.
